Both mindfulness and awareness are essential throughout your daily routine. In fact, the journey to understanding the mind-body and how to work with it is based on the synergy between the practices of mindfulness and awareness. So what is the difference? You need to practice mindfulness in order to make yourself capable of being aware and observing the things outside and the thoughts going inside you objectively developing the understanding with the experience that you are the observer you are not the thought or any memory associated with that.
With mindfulness, you learn to recognize and acknowledge what’s going on in the mind, moment by moment, without judgment and to let it go. With awareness, you use your awareness of the thoughts, emotions, and sensations that arise in the mindstream as the actual focal point to explore all of your possibilities from a state of clarity and feeling grounded. Mindfulness is a tool to get into the deeper level of your mind and reprogram your subconscious mind, your beliefs.
Mindfulness is a practice that interrupts your habits and thought patterns. It takes courage to create change. How do you implement: train your mind and body? The answer is: Start to observe, be aware and don’t get wrapped up into the experience.
Observe your surroundings. Nearly everywhere you look in nature, there are creatures engaging in some sort of consistent daily routine. The natural world at large is deeply influenced by the rhythms of nature, along with, the rising and setting of the sun. While there is often some degree of seasonal variations many plants and animals embrace a predictable daily rhythm and as a rule, live by.
As humans, we have largely gotten away from this habit. The increasingly erratic nature of our lives is inherently taxing. Layer that on top of the busyness and stress that pervade modern life, and it is no wonder that so many of our nervous systems now exist in a chronic state of high alert, hyper-vigilant, increasingly unable to relax.
Realize, at the most fundamental level, your human physiology is very much adapted to and supported by some sense of regularity. Actually, this is precisely why the daily routine is such potent medicine. In effect, having a daily routine offers the grounding, stability, and predictability that are largely absent from our hectic modern lives. The routine itself creates a familiarity and
eference points through each day that sends an affirmation to the mind and deep tissues of the body that all is well, you are safe, that you can be at ease.
Adhering to a routine allows you to foster habits that match your goals and aspirations. While your routine helps you develop good habits that are in line with unveiling your full potential, it also helps to eradicate bad habits that do not serve you well. Routine helps you cope with the continual flow of decisions that face you in everyday life.
And so when the body becomes accustomed to and learns to count on a daily routine that includes things like adequate rest, nourishing diet, intentional movement along with trusting support and nourishing practices the nervous can finally begin to relax. As a result, a daily routine will support a positive attitude, happiness, and relaxation so you can navigate through life with clear vision, purpose, and self-nourishment.
